Please note that until cafés operate as normal, we are meeting at the kiosk in the Botanic Gardens in Rockhampton. If you wish to participate email us and we’ll message you a few hours before conversation takes place to confirm your attendance.
Attending conversation groups is a great opportunity for members to increase their skills in French.
The conversation groups meets every Saturday from 1.30 to 3.00 at Coffee Society Bar, 126 East st., Rockhampton City QLD 4700.
The conversation groups meets every second and fourth Saturday of the month at 2.00 pm at The beach Club Café, Keppel Bay Sailing club (beachfront) Anzac Parade, Yeppoon.
There is no charge other than the cost of a drink, although members often order lunch from the restaurant menu.
Everyone is welcome and many come on a casual basis. Joining in with this group is a great way of gaining confidence in listening to and speaking French. Usually there is a mix of novices and fluent speakers who are always willing to help. Membership of the Alliance Française is required for regular attendees.
Occasionally the venue is changed but members are notified by email. Approximately once a month an evening meeting is held at a restaurant or tavern. This replaces the day time meeting for that day.
